The Rochester Young Professionals is deeply committed to giving back to our community, and helping those less fortunate.

RYP works in partnership with RochesterCares for organizing and promoting Community Involvement Activities. Given RochesterCares' proven experience and recognition as a volunteerism organization, both groups saw a natural fit in developing this synergistic relationship.

Our model for these types of events is to emphasize Community Involvement Projects that RochesterCares has organized through their own efforts, as well as jointly organizing certain additional projects of interest to our members as appropriate. Any suggestions?

Our goals are to raise awareness jointly of the many volunteering opportunities we can provide to our members and the community, and get even more people charged up and making a difference in our community!

Habitat for Humanity
Red Cross activities
Adopt a Highway
Painting at a School or Facility
Al Sigl Center projects
Volunteering for Camp Good Days & Special Times
Volunteering for Special Olympics -- e.g. The Polar Plunge!
Southeast Ecumenical Ministries projects
Alternatives for Battered Women children's projects
Park and community clean-up and beautification projects
